SACRAMENTO, CA (July 1, 2004) — The California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce (CHCC) has selected Estrada Communications Group (ECG) to promote its programs and development efforts as the state’s primary advocate for Hispanic economic development and business opportunities.
“ECG is one of the nation’s most highly-respected, 100 percent, Latino-owned agencies. It has a broad range of experience with both corporate America and the Latino community throughout the nation,” said Julian Cañete, CHCC President & CEO. “Their expertise in marketing, public relations and corporate development will be a valuable resource in promoting CHCC activities to business owners, our chamber members, and corporate and government supporters who understand the importance of establishing relationships with California’s Hispanic businesses.”
The selection of a marketing communications agency also coincides with the organization’s 25th Annual State Convention and Business Expo, scheduled for August 25-28, 2004, in Anaheim.
“We want to ensure the most successful convention in our 25-year history,” states Cañete. “The ability to promote CHCC and publicize our business development activities to key audiences is essential to CHCC’s continued growth and on-going contributions to California’s economy.”
This year’s Silver Anniversary convention underscores the organization’s commitment to a better informed and knowledgeable membership. It will offer attendees access to informational and skill-development workshops. Participants will hear from a variety of elected officials and policy makers, discuss legislative and economic issues impacting the business community, attend and participate in the Business Expo and interact with business colleagues at networking events. The convention will also honor exemplary member chambers and individual business-owners during a series of luncheon and dinner events. The membership will also elect regional and statewide candidates to serve on the CHCC's Board of Directors.
“We are pleased to be associated with one of the most effective Hispanic business organizations in the nation,” said Jim Estrada, Managing Partner of ECG-California. “CHCC has a 25 year history of serving Latino entrepreneurs and its many stakeholders who recognize the benefits of associating with California’s global economy and the increasing number of Hispanic-owned businesses that are contributing to the economic empowerment of the Latino community.”
In addition to its Los Angles operations, ECG has its corporate headquarters in Austin, TX. The family-owned and operated agency counsels many national corporations in the areas of Hispanic marketing communications and community relations; they include: AT&T, Advantica (Denny’s), Anheuser-Busch, Bank One, Lopez Foods, Marathon Oil, McDonald’s, MCI, SBC, Univision TV, Wal-Mart, and Wells Fargo.
ECG also provides its marketing services to the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) of Washington, D.C. The agency has a prominent role in support of USHCC’s 25th Annual Convention and Business Expo, to be held in Austin, Texas, September 15-18, 2004.
