U.S. Secretary of Commerce Carlos Gutierrez, U.S. Small Business Administrator Hector V. Barreto and former U.S. Secretary of Energy & Transportation Federico Peña are among the national luminaries who will share their perspectives on the fastest-growing segment of the U.S. population during the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) 26th Annual National Convention & Business Expo. They will be addressing thousands of Hispanic business owners, government officials, elected officials, and Fortune 500 corporate and chamber executives from the U.S., Puerto Rico, Canada and Mexico. The largest gathering of the nation’s Hispanic-owned businesses is September 14-17, 2005 at the Midwest Airlines Convention Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
This year’s convention theme is “Hispanic Enterprise: Attaining Success, Building Wealth.” The convention will provide participants with numerous opportunities to interact with prominent experts in the areas of politics, finance, government and business and to engage in discussions on issues important to the Hispanic-owned business community with an emphasis on procurement, business matchmaking, entrepreneurship and best practices.
