Duarte to head Corporate Relations for Anheuser-Busch Companies.

St. Louis, MO (May 9, 2000) — Susana Duarte has been promoted to head Corporate Relations for Anheuser-Busch Companies in St. Louis, MO. As Senior Group Director, she is responsible for the company's outreach efforts in the Latino, Asian American and Native American markets and replaces Jesus Rangel, who has been promoted to Vice President and Director of the Americas for Anheuser-Busch International, Inc.

Prior to her promotion, Duarte directed the public relations and community outreach in the Northeast based in New York. "Susana brings leadership qualities that personify this company's commitment to creating partnerships in the communities where we do business," said John E. Jacob, Executive Vice President and Chief Communications Officer. "Her awareness of how these alliances benefit both the community and the company make her the ideal successor to Mr. Rangel."

Rangel, a 10 year veteran of the company, including 8 years as Vice President Corporate Relations, will head a team that will be responsible for sales, marketing and business development efforts in Central and South America. Prior to joining A-B, he worked as a journalist for The New York Times.

Duarte, a native of Mexico City, served as Public Relations Director for the United States Latin American Business Council and Executive Director of the International Trade Council before joining Anheuser- Busch in 1994.

With over 24,000 employees world-wide and 850 independent beer wholesalers, Anheuser-Busch Companies, Inc. is the world's largest brewer and one of the largest theme park operators in the U.S. The company is the second-largest U.S. manufacturer of aluminum beverage containers.

Susana Duarte has been named Senior Group Director of Community Relations for Anheuser-Busch Companies, Inc. She replaces Jesus Rangel, who was promoted to Vice President and Director of the Americas for A-B International, Inc. Duarte will be responsible for all Hispanic, Asian American, and Native American community relations programs for the St. Louis based corporation.
